Trump & Zelenskyy change the World Order. How is AI involved in Ukraine & Russia?
It ends with us: can we break the cycle of world wars or will the cycle break us? I say we can end it!
When my old college roommate shared a BBC News clip of President Zelenskyy and President Trump’s meeting, I searched for the full 50-minute meeting (see below) between Trump and Zelenskyy to get the whole truth. The more I watched it and discussed it with my old college roommates, the more I felt like I was seeing something bigger happening under the surface.
The whole world order is shifting — and people miss the bigger picture: AI
Let’s take a step back. ChatGPT has proven that AI is the latest transformational technology. The possibility of AI-driven nuclear weapons adds a new layer of tension to Ukraine and the world. Ukraine is a potential source of rare earth minerals necessary for the semiconductor supply chain to advance AI. (Don’t forget about Trump saying he wants Canada as the 51st state and he wants to buy Greenland. They have potential for rare earth, too.) The negotiated deal puts the US in Ukraine so that the US gets rare earth and Ukraine gets security through the US presence in the area.
With AI in mind, can we all agree that we do not want World War III with AI-driven nuclear weapons? AI-driven nukes can eliminate human decision-making. Our humanity prevents all-out nuclear war. The US and the Soviet Union resolved the Cuban Missile Crisis before it went too far. The past has proven that the right people at the right time can make all the difference.
I look at the Trump and Zelenskyy meeting through that lens. The war is escalating. Let’s stop the fighting and dying on both sides. On Biden’s way out of office, he gave Ukraine more capable missiles. Putin lowered the threshold for the use of nuclear weapons. Unfortunately, Europe did not see that as a threat and did not take Putin seriously.
In the meeting,
The Mainstream Media
Wants conflict to increase their views
Asks questions to rile everyone up with some legitimate questions sprinkled in
President Zelenskyy
Wants security guarantees in addition to US presence in the area
Asks for specifics in public with the whole world including Russia watching
Chooses not to ask the question later in private during lunch
Vice President Vance
Calls Zelenskyy out for litigating in public
Asks about his so-called propaganda tour
President Zelenskyy
Keeps bringing up this cycle of Ukraine and Russia fighting
References Trump’s earlier comment about an ocean between the continents
Tells them how they should feel about Russia (Personally, I don’t tell anyone especially women how they should feel.)
President Trump
Triggered by being told how to feel while he was neutrally letting their conversation play out
Calls him out as not wanting the fighting and dying to stop as soon as possible
Shouts at Zelenskyy for gambling with World War III
I can see why people are passive-aggressive or angry. Why did Zelenskyy want to discuss the deal in front of everyone with Russia watching and not privately during lunch…?
World War III in the background

China wants to reunify or invade Taiwan—depending on who you ask. Taiwan has TSMC, which is the biggest possible chokepoint for the semiconductor supply chain. Taiwan and South Korea produce the majority of the world’s chips. (I’m not bringing North Korea into the chat right now.) China has been running practice drills. It has been circling Australia unexpectedly. They did not give enough notice—surprising the Australians.
Over the weekend, Europe gathered together to work with Zelenskyy. On Monday, Taiwan signaled aligning with the US through TSMC. Trump and TSMC announced the investment in Arizona together. Trump sees it as evidence that tariffs are working and tells Congress to get rid of Biden’s CHIPS Act to save money. (DOGE much? Decrease spending. Balance that budget.) The European Union is showing its cracks as some leaders do not want to send people to Ukraine. Italy, Poland, and Hungary are aligning themselves with the US? President Macron offers France’s nuclear protection. Aren’t the tensions rising?
A Polarizing Man
President Trump might be the right man at the right time for this moment. The US voted for him. He is a polarizing figure, but he has shown that he would not weaponize the government to lock up Hillary Clinton. Remember “Lock her up!” in 2016? That’s Trump’s sense of humor. He’s so unserious. Trump has also shown that he can walk away from the White House and let Biden step into office. In his 2024 run, Trump almost took a bullet to the head.
I understand that Trump’s not a perfect leader by any means, but he shouldn’t be killed. It’s morally wrong. I accept the election results. (Each state is free to choose how they run their elections.) I want my leader to succeed for the good of my country. Trump has a vision of a golden age where AI pushes medical research further and fights cancer and other diseases.
The president’s power is derived from the consent of the governed. States can challenge possible federal overreach because they have state’s rights. Congress could impeach him again again. He has also surrounded himself with a Cabinet who have made a run at becoming president—going after his job. The Vice President and the Cabinet can do something if the President is incapacitated. US citizens can technically rebel with their guns in the worst-case scenario but let’s reform elections instead. Just to reiterate: it’s morally wrong. American problems require American solutions. It’s all in the US Constitution.
I agree with Trump on denuclearizing. Let’s put that money to better use. Let’s use that power for cleaner and greener energy. AI requires lots of energy. Responding to a question about Macron’s offer to protect other European countries with nuclear weapons, Trump mentioned speaking to Russia and China about denuclearizing and moving toward that goal.
Let’s keep playing the game of life

Let’s not fight in a war where people die on both sides, but let’s compete in different ways. We the people can bring that aggression to sports.
Hockey is an example. Canada beat the US team. Let’s play another game soon.
The US will host the 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games.
Let’s continually keep competing in healthier ways.
Who can build the best tools using AI and who can usher in a golden age? For example, can we automatically translate languages and understand one another in real-time? There’s a lag in translation currently.
Let’s end the cycle of world wars. It will always depend on the people. I have an idea of something better than the United Nations. What about you? Can we, the people, choose the right people at the right time to create a better solution? Do we have wisdom? Can we grow and become more?
Interesting. I hadn’t thought about the rare earth minerals in Ukraine!
One opinion that I have is that Russia is threatening the use of nukes fulling knowing it will rattle western countries cages. I dont think they will actually use it. Its just a talking point for some people to latch on to. Ukraine is fighting a defensive war cause Russia invaded them. Nato is a defensive alliance, no nato country will threaten Russia sovereignty. If Ukraine wants to join nato, it is between Ukraine and nato.
